Explain Majick Scientifically and You Destroy the Fantasy, Accept The Reality of Majick and You Accept The Universe

I know exactly how it happens. I know there is a chain reaction that begins at the base of the root and flows all the way up to the tip of the branch. I know that the chemicals that mix together in the incubator that is a tree — any kind of tree for that matter — can all be perfectly explained, so really a tree spouting new growth isn’t “majick.”

Gojer Definition of “Magic”

  1. The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.

A Witches Definition of Majick

  1. The mysterious application of different elements brings about a shift in reality.

Yesterday, there were no leaves on the tree sitting outside my front window. Today the tree is bursting with Chinese Cherry Blossoms, creamy white will shift into bright pink leaves that will eventually fall to the ground before they are replaced with a variety of bright and dark green leaves.

There is a scientific explanation for the behavior of living things, but that doesn’t make the end result of the behavior any less majickal.

I used to talk to myself all the time, outloud. I would plug in my headphones and work out how I was feeling by pretending I was talking to someone else when in reality I was talking to myself.

To the average person, this behavior might sound insane, but our ancestors did it all the time, the only difference is they called it “Talking to the Gods.”

Over time bitterness, anger, resentment, jealousy, shame, guilt, fear, and anxiety, pulled us away from the majick of the universe, and in an effort to understand how things work, we decided as a society that once we knew how something worked, it was no longer majickal.

This is the Problem with Humans…We Stopped Seeing the Majick

What if while walking down the street you could feel someone walking beside you, what if you could hear that person ask you how you’re feeling, would you answer? Or would you feel too weird?

I answer. Every time. Honestly, when I hear that voice asking how I’m doing, I consider it a personal gift from the universe. When people tell me I’m weird, strange, or eccentric, I tell them I’m a writer, being weird is literally in the job description. If you’re not weird, what the fuck are you writing about, math?

In order to write, you have to be able to suspend the reality you’ve been conditioned to see and pull apart all the things you’re told are not there so that you can hold them, see them, feel them, taste them.

You have to know without a doubt that the words you are using are creating a painting for the reader to be able to understand. They can’t just consume your words, they have to actually SEE the world that you are showing them, and what one person sees through your writing is going to be completely different than what someone else sees, but if you don’t stop and appreciate the MAJICK of the gift of writing, then all is lost.

Yesterday there were no leaves on the tree, and in my imagination, a million tiny faeries visited yesterday to feed the roots of the tree so that the bushels of petals would burst forward this morning for me to see, on a morning when I wasn’t feeling myself, and I needed a little extra majick.

Faeries are in control of the earth world, they see all, they know all, and they find ways to find you even when you think you are completely lost. You don't need to worry about believing in them, because they believe in you, and they will do everything they can to guide you and show you the right path, whether you like it or not…unless you steal from them, then you’re on your own.

Angels are with us too, we’ve been conditioned to forget they exist, to ignore the signs of their presence, and to pretend that what we know to be true isn’t, so that we can fit in and be “normal,” but what is normal to you is absolutely foreign to me.

I would never dream of telling someone they are ugly or horrible unless they actually are, I would never dream of stepping on someone else’s journey unless I know I could provide the most amount of security and love possible, but for many like myself, too many people love doing exactly that.

Because I see Faeries, Angels, Demons, and all kinds of fantastical creatures, because I see what COULD exist, if the world would just make a little more space for the majick, it’s easier for me to get up every day and find reasons to write. Some days I need reminders, some days I need to look out my window, go for a walk, take a shower, or get stoned out of my tree, but there isn’t a day that goes by, that I don’t see the majick.

Being Able To Understand, How Something Works, Shouldn’t Make It Less Majickal

au·ro·ra

noun: aurora borealis

  1. a natural electrical phenomenon characterized by the appearance of streamers of reddish or greenish light in the sky, usually near the northern or southern magnetic pole.

Technically speaking, it’s electricity flowing through the air, Witches call that majick because we understand that every living creature, from the smallest blade of grass to the largest living elephant, carries with itself, its own invisible force of electric energy.

We can feel it when we walk through the world, we can feel it when we’re dreaming, we can feel it when we’re writing and creating. When we’re serving the universe our best, highest vibrational self, we are at our absolute happiest, but like all things, even majick can be draining.

No matter who you are, you need to have a balance between the various realities within which you reside. Whether you are a writer, painter, or plumber, you need to take time away from the work. The majick of doing a great job can be addictive, but as with all things it can be as equally harmful as it can be beautiful.

Humans have a habit of overdosing on things that make them happy because so often we’re surrounded by things that make us unhappy. It’s finding the balance that WORKS FOR YOU, that will help you breathe and find peace.

Sometimes you may need to cry, scream, and release all the toxicity, and other times you are ready to challenge the world. Finding a niche that makes you happy, will make every day of your life worth it.

You already know what you want to do, what will make you smile and remind you that there is majick in the world, so why aren’t you doing it?

Sending all my love,
